Voting for the works council during the 4-day event

The works council is the place where the employer develops and discusses plans with staff representatives to improve the ins and outs of the organization (business operations).

The National Police in the Netherlands has eleven units. Eastern Netherlands is the largest unit and covers the provinces of Gelderland and Overijssel. The East Netherlands unit uses the Online Voting Tool to allow votes for the works council to take place online. This way, colleagues can easily cast their votes digitally and the vote has no influence on the performance of daily tasks.

The representative of the Works Council can therefore also simply participate in the 4-day event while being able to follow the progress of the vote live on his mobile phone. More than 45,000 participants, with more than 70 different nationalities, come to Nijmegen in the Netherlands every year to walk 30, 40 or 50 kilometers for four days in the Waalstad and its beautiful, wooded surroundings.
