Online voting at the Libraries Association

Public libraries make our society richer. The Association of Public Libraries (VOB) facilitates its members in this. They do this by representing interests, shaping good employment practices, and organizing dialogue and knowledge exchange.

The Association of Public Libraries in the Netherlands uses Online Voting Tool to offer members the opportunity to easily vote online during the General Members' Meeting. All members of the VOB receive a unique voting code before the meeting and can cast their (weighted) vote anonymously on the voting website. After the meeting closes, the report with the voting results is immediately available digitally.

For example, the VOB members recently voted online on the negotiation result achieved by the collective labor agreement parties on the 2024-2026 collective labor agreement. A very large majority of the members (approximately 94%) agreed with the negotiation result.
